Step back to 1588 and meet Galatea and Phillida, two women who hide in the woods pretending to be boys (so they don’t get sacrificed to Neptune’s vicious monster!) It’s a classic meet cute. And they don’t need help from Cupid to fall in love, these ladies do it all on their own.

Fast-forward to 1604 and something has changed. The woods are gone, the magic repressed, a puritanical religious state has taken control. But there might be a way back to this queer utopia. And if there is, Isabella will find it.

Adapted from John Lyly’s Galatea, and William Shakespeare’s Measure for Measure, Love & Faith (and something unholy) is a queer fever dream, drag show, and classic love story all rolled into one.
