ugly love

14 July-23 July, Flight Path Theatre

Lucy Matthews’ creation is full of heart and shows the beauty amidst the ugliness. The team have created a genuinely moving show, that confronts its audience to reflect on their own ideas about love and connection.

Jess and Sam have been together for nine years. While they still love each other, there is no denying that they’ve fallen into a rut.

After a night out with a captivating performer, Jess finds something she didn’t know she was missing.

Sam finds himself in a new and complicated relationship.

Their friend Maddi thinks they are both crazy.

But polyamory isn’t all fun, games, and threesomes. Jess and Sam soon realise that being “ethical sluts” isn’t easy.

Ugly Love is impressively thought-provoking while also being simultaneously uplifting and zesty.
